File Under "NoYDB"

Or, "None of Your Damn Business." Rather, none of our damn business. For once, I am in support of an action taken (or in this case not taken) by Sarah Palin.

I'm sorry, but this is supposed to be private.

Voters need to be informed regarding who they're voting for in a democracy, but no one should be asked to release their medical records to the public.

Well... I agree that they shouldn't have to, and they don't have to. And there have been no questions about Palin's health, so why should she. I don't know if this has happened in past elections, but this time McCain opted to make his records public, tacitly pressuring other candidates to do the same. However, I think McCain was wise to release his medical records. Voters have legitimate concerns about whether he'll die in office and it suits his advantage to assuage those fears.

But all you have to do is have your doctor issue a statement that there are no health issues that would affect your ability to run the nation. Why disclose so much irrelevant stuff along with it? I think it's a dangerous precedent.
